Having just sweated blood and tears over making a ‘Nutrition Fact sheet’ and ‘Training Meal Plan’ for Barry I am now gulping down electrolyte filled fluids ( I must have lost so many during the task) and am chomping down on some complex carbs to replenish and refuel my liver and muscle’s glycogen stores.
I have a new and odd insight into the world of sport’s nutrition, odd because I’ve done it all without moving from the sofa-bed that my computer and I sit on.
I’ve decided to try creating homemade protein bars, sports drinks and gels because they sound revolting and are ridiculously expensive.
So, I just completed my first online shop with the new diet in mind, wished I was in-store so I could bump my trolley up against fit people to show them I’m in the club. I might have to spill a bag or two onto the hall carpet when the delivery man comes, hopefully my chia seeds and buckwheat flour will make an appearance.
