Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Perseverance and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Or! We could all run 6 marathons in 6 days!
Whoopee not sure how to blog —but will be cheering you all the way –what a task to take on .Good luck to all the team xx Ann and Rikki
Thank you!
Much respect on taking on this amazing task, I hope your poor feet survive. A great challenge for a great cause, much luck, leigh x
Thank you Leigh, the feet LOOK pretty bad already I have to say, but I think they’re supposed to look the way Barry’s look for running?! Ha! Pedicures post-run for sure!!
If you can figure out a way for me to donate from the States, please let me know. I tried, but it did not like my bank card. Story of my life…. Best of luck Barry. I’m sure I’ll meet you someday.
Thank you Angie, I think we’ve cracked the donating from abroad now.
Good work Barry, great cause! We’ll be following you all the way to hear how on earth you manage those miles.. I hope you know the French for ‘my feet ache’!!!
I am packing a phrase book Naomi, my mum told me to underline the French for ’emergency’, ‘runner’ and ‘do we need to amputate?’ !
Barry you are both a mentalist and amazing. I cant believe that you are actually going to be doing this. I was so sad when i heard you had lost your Mum earlier this year especially as I know she battled hard. I know she would be very proud of you. Myself and my team in the NHS are right behind you and wish you all the best.
Nikki xxxx
Lovely to hear Nikki, thank you for you and your team’s support.
Think it’s amazing what you guys are doing. Good luck, but sure you won’t need it! X
I think luck, training and lots of flapjacks are definitely the key. Thank you Linda!
Sending my love and support all the way from LA!!
Lovely to have some Stateside support! Thank you Lauren 🙂
One marathon would be impressive…never mind 6 marathons…never mind 6 in 6 days..! Amazing!!! Wishing you all the best with the training and the actual running. Best of luck!!
Thank you Sarah-Jane 🙂
Wish I was younger I’d join you — xxx
🙂
Good luck and lots of love xxx
Thank you Shelley, your support is MASSIVELY appreciated.
Go Barry go! Will be watching your every step of the mammoth journey and will be cheering like a crazy (along with hundreds of others) when you arrive in balham.
Tooting Bec Common is now the final destination Marnie… See you and the masses there on the 25th of October! 🙂
As I said in the blog Strentgh to your elbows Barry’s Megateam!
Thank you Rikki!
I think the challenge you’ve set yourself is huge, what more fitting way could there be to commemorate your mum at the same time as raising funds for such a worthwhile cause.
If your thousands of steps can help medicine take one small step forward in the battle against cancer then it’s all worthwhile.
When you get tired, just run like there’s a giant Maldon crab chasing behind! That’ll keep you going.
Good luck buddy, the Lamb family will be cheering Baddy on every step of the way.
Look forward to a dram to celebrate.
Thank Andy. A Maldon crab!!! Ha ha ha! He’d be running after it with a bag of mooshy fish fingers!
Wow – what an incredible challenge. Good luck Barry (and Lorraine and the rest of the team!). Xx
Thank you Leah! 🙂
Bit slow on the uptake here but thanks Leigh – everyone’s support means a lot :o) x
Sorry, Leah! Stupid autocorrect!!
You are CRAZY Barry… but AMAZING…. 6 blimin marathons, I couldn’t run 6 miles! Will be following all 6 of them dude (via the blog, not in person I’m afraid!)… and we’ll come and cheer on the last 6 steps too. You’re raising money for causes close to my heart, so an extra big cheer from my sofa too. I’M IN AWE DUDE!! Big love… and happy training xxxxxxxxxx
Thank you for all your support Lucy! 🙂
Inspirational. I work at Kibble Education and Care Centre. We often work with our kids in care to help raise money for good causes and charities. We are creating a street dance with staff and pupils to be performed after Christmas raising money for Macmillan. I’ll talk to the PE department this week and see how we can get the kids doing a running challenge and raising more money to support this particular charity.
Well done Barry for taking on such a challenge. I know this kind of feat would inspire our kids.
Totally amazing! Thank you Gavin. Good luck with the dancing too! 🙂
What a challenge! Is it a just giving page to donate? Good luck to the whole team!
Thank you Davina! I think your donation has come in now 🙂
